Information for installing the punch

In this article, you will find all the information to properly install the punch in your company. This has already been set up by the Emprez team, according to your manager's responses.

Where to install the punch?

In order for the punch to work, you must have an electrical outlet and wired internet access installed at the desired location. It should be noted that connecting the punch to a WIFI network is strongly discouraged due to frequent interruptions or variations in the signal with this type of connection.

We suggest doing this near the manager's office, not in the staff room.

It is important to plan the strategic location where to install the tactile punch according to the following criteria:

1. Location configuration
   
2. Staff movement (entry and exit)
   
3. Availability of electric current (110v socket) and network cable (Ethernet)
   

The positioning of the punch and grips

The heights shown are suggestions only, the heights can be adapted to your liking depending on the height of your employees.

 

Punch installation guide

In the box we send you, you will find all the elements (except the tools) to easily install your punch. It has already been configured with your company information, all you have to do is fix it to the wall with the support provided for this purpose.

Necessary tools:

To attach the punch, here are the items you will need:

1. tape measure
2. level
3. drill with a socket
4. anchor screw
5. screwdriver
6. pencil

Make sure you have access to a power outlet as well as an Internet network outlet near the punch so that fewer wires can be seen. For reliability, we do not recommend using wifi.

Installation :

A - Installation of the support

1. First, decide how high you are going to install the punch: we suggest positioning your anchor screw for the punch at 63" from the ground. This should match the average eye height of your employees. Be careful, depending on the average size of your employees, this may vary. We advise you to do several tests.

2. Place your anchor screw at the desired height.
   

3. Position the base of the stand and check that it is straight using the level. Secure it with the anchor screw. 

B - Positionnez the punch on the support

1. Remove the screw so that the punch can be placed on the holder

2. Place the punch on the holder you just installed. To do this, fit the 3 notches in the places provided on the support.
   

3. Secure by adding the screw on the top of the bracket

4. Check that the punch is straight with the level.

5. Connect the power cable and the internet cable. They plugin below the punch. You can hide the wire behind the awl.

6. Turn on the punch via the button located at the top left on the side.
