Definition & Consequences
Worked hours that exceed the scheduled hours: Represents hours that were approved during the period that exceed the hours that were scheduled.
Consequences: Paying for hours that were not scheduled often results in overtime. This is costly for the company.
Possible solutions
If the approved hours significantly exceed the schedule, Emprez offers the following solutions:
- Check this data for previous months. If the problem persists, you should increase the number of scheduled hours.
The Emprez BI module offers a report that allows you to analyze the amounts paid to your employees for each pay period. You can then see if this situation persists. - Check your employees' absenteeism rates, and tardiness rates, from this report. If your team has a lot of absences and/or tardiness, this could be the reason why they have to make up for this time by working overtime.
- Check your company's turnover rates, based on this report.
If your company has a high turnover rate, overtime can be interpreted in different ways: lack of staff, staff in training who are slower in the tasks to be performed... - Determine which of your employees are working more hours than scheduled.
To do this, click on "Employee responsible of the situation". The list of employees who have hours in excess of the schedule appears. ("FDT" Stands for "Time Sheet")
If one or more employees are working more hours than scheduled, you can interpret the reasons individually.
