Working time above the limit of labor standards
This alert lets you know that you are going to pay employees overtime.
When an employee has too many scheduled hours in the week, their name will appear in the scheduling checklist. The application will tell you the number of hours the employee has to schedule compared to the number of hours recommended by labor standards.
Here's how to fix it:
- Click on the description of the error, this will lead you to the problem,
- Change the employee's work hours,
- Move your mouse over the shift to modify, when the three icons appear below it, click on to modify,
- Click on Save.
Tip: Decrease/ remove paid meal times to decrease the total number of hours You can remove this check:
- Click on your name at the top right,
- Clear the box Verify Overtime,
- Click on Validate,
- Log out of Emprez and then log in again.
This will remove the verification for your view only. If other users do not want to see this verification, they will have to do the same steps too.
The employee is inactive but has scheduled hours remaining
When an employee is inactive, he will not appear in the list of employees in the Schedules menu. On the other hand, if you have prepared your schedules and the employee leaves his position earlier, the application warns you that the employee is no longer active and that you must replace him with another.
Here's how to fix it:
- Click on the description of the error to lead you to the problem,
- Schedule someone else to replace the inactive employee, or by using the Missing shift,
- Delete the schedule on the screen by clicking on ,
- Click on Save.
If you make the correction for several weeks,
do not forget to record when you go from one week to another.
If the employee has left, remember to put the employee invisible, if you have not already done so.

Other cases with the same error
If the error persists when there is no more schedule, the schedule may be in an inactive position.
Here's how to fix it:
Activate inactive extension
- Go to the Employee file,
- Click on Position(s),
- Click on for the inactive position,
- Check the box The position is active for this employee,
- Click on Save.
Delete the schedule linked to this position
- Click on Schedules, on the bottom left,
- Go to the week where there is the error,
- Delete the schedule on the screen by clicking on on the bottom right,
- Click on Save.
OR
- Return to the Dashboard,
- Click on the description of the employee's error to access the schedule,
- Delete the schedule on the screen by click on on the bottom right,
- Click on Save.
If you make the correction for several weeks, don't forget to save when you go from one week to the next.
Desactivate inactive position
- Go back to the Employee file,
- Click on Position(s),
- Click on opposite the position you activated previously,
- Uncheck the box The position is active for this employee,
- Click on Save.
You can remove the employee status check like this:
- Click on your name at the top right,
- Uncheck the box Hide employee schedules validation in the Dashboard,
- Click on Validate,
- Log out and return to Emprez.
This removes the verification for your view only. If other users do not want to see this check, they will have to do the same steps too.
No availability
An employee was scheduled on a day when he is not available
Here's how to fix it:
- Click on the description of the error to lead you to the problem,
- Click on the name of the employee at the top right,
- Click on Work Availability, in the Hiring information section,
- Click on ,
- Fill in the following window,
- Close the window.

You can ask your employee to submit new availabilities.

Errors in the allocation of vacations
Your employee may not have enough vacation time in their bank. Check the balance of his vacation and the number of days remaining.
To adjust the vacation:
- Click on Vacation Remaining,
- Click on for the current period,
- Make sure that the last time (Days Remaining and Amount Remaining) are positive or equal to 0,
- Click on Save.
