Premium - Stat. Holidays

Premium - Stat. Holidays

This premium applies when an employee is scheduled on a stat. holiday. Using this type of premium if you put a holiday on the employee's schedule on a day when he already has a shift, the service will calculate the employee's time according to the premium granted.
Example:
If an employee works on a stat. holiday, he must be paid on time and a half.
If for a typical day the employee earns $18/h and works 8h, he will receive $144.
If this worker works on a paid holiday on time and a half with this premium he will be paid $216.
Other types of premiums are available on Emprez, for more information we invite you to discover the article: Overview of the different types of premiums.

Set up a stat. holiday premium

  1. On the right, select the companies you want to make this premium available to.
  2. Name: Name of the premium
  3. Pay code: This code is the payroll code in your payroll system. It is with this code that the premium hours will be exported to payroll.
  4. Premium Percent or Premium Amount:
    1. In $: If you put a value in the dollar value ($), it will add that number of dollars to the employee's hourly rate and pay the employee at the new rate.
If you enter $ 2, Emprez will add a fixed amount of $ 2 / hr to the employees who will have this premium on their file.
For an employee who is paid $ 15 / hr, with a premium of $ 2, the employee will be paid $ 15 + $ 2 = $ 17 / hr extra.
  1. In %: If you mark value in percentage (%), it will calculate that percentage of the employee's hourly wage, then add it to the employee's hourly rate.
If you enter 50%, Emprez will calculate 50% from the hourly rate of employees who will have this premium on their record, then add it to the employee's salary.
For an employee who is paid $ 15 / hr, with a 50% premium, the employee will be paid $ 15 + ($ 15 x 50%) = $ 22.50 / hr additional.
Warning : Do not put a percentage in Emprez with an additional cumulative premium if you use a web service (you do not transfer the information from the Emprez file, you transcribe the information manually line by line in Nethris / Desjardins.) In fact, once sent in Nethris / Desjardins, the hourly rate displayed MUST be the employee's regular rate who is going to be put on half-time, because the configuration of this gain in Nethris / Desjardins ensures that: G043 = Number of 'hours x Hourly rate received in the file x 1.5
Example:
If I put 50% in Emprez, in the cumulative premium configuration, Emprez will automatically calculate the 1.5 BEFORE sending it to Nethris / Dejardins THEN once in Nethris / Desjardin, the above-mentioned calculation will be done: (G043 = number of hours x hourly rate received in file x 1.5) ==> The employee is paid twice.
  1. Default premium box: do not check

  2. Type: Stat.holiday

  3. Période : daily
  1. When the sum of the hours (HH:mm):
  1. Greater than HH: mm : Each hour above the number of hours listed will be calculated at the new rate indicated above, in the premium section. Hours below the listed hours will be paid at the regular rate, plus the shift premium if applicable.

  2. Smaller than HH: mm: When the employee works less than the listed number of hours, the premium will embark and pay those hours to the employee at the listed rate. If the employee's hours exceed the number of hours listed, they will be paid at the regular rate, plus their shift premium if applicable.

  3. Maximum HH: mm: The number of hours entered will be paid at the rate indicated in the premium section. The excess number of hours will be paid at the regular rate plus the shift premium if applicable.
  1. Timesheet type to use: DO NOT check the Stat. Holiday boxEach box you check means included that type of timesheet in your Total Hours calculation.
Whether or not to include certain types of timesheets is up to you. In the case of the cumulative Stat. Holiday premium.

  2. Will be applied on stat. holiday box: This box must remain checked. In this way, an employee with another timesheet in addition to the holiday on the same day will have his premium calculated in his file.
If unchecked, all timesheets on the same date as a holiday will not be taken into account in the calculation of the Total hours entered above.
  3. Add position premium: If it is not checked, the "Stat. Holiday premium" will always be calculated on the employee's base rate.
The base rate is the employee's hourly wage on the Remuneration line in their file.
    The
position premium is the change in the employee's hourly wages when they occupy a specific position.
    The
position premium can be up or down. For more details, click here.

  4. Use only the premium part:
  1. If the box is not checked, the premium will work as stated above.
  2. If the box is checked, Emprez will not extract the number of hours entered in Total hours from the total number of hours worked (and others, if you have applied the premium to several types of timesheets). The application will only extract the hours according to your total hour's settings and calculate it at the rate entered in the premium section.
