Add hourly premiums and positions in batch

The tool "Add or Modify hourly premiums" allows you to add an hourly premium and if necessary a premium for the position to your employees (in batch or individually).
If you change either of these two bonuses in batch, there will be a change in the employee's file. If you want to combine an hourly premium and a position premium, you will have to configure them at the same time.
If you only want to assign a premium for the position and you have existing hourly premiums, you will have to assign it individually on a file-by-file basis so as not to delete the existing hourly premiums.

The hourly premium is calculated according to the hours worked by the employee. It can be a fixed amount or a variable amount.
The premium for the position is also calculated according to the hours worked by the employee, but it is always a fixed amount.

Add hourly premiums to employees

You must set up a premium before you can assign it to your employees. For more information, click here.
  1. Click on the Employee menu,
  2. Choose Add or modify hourly premiums,
  3. Select the employees: 
    1. By enterprise, 
    2. Service, Department then the position,
  4. Uncheck Include Hidden Employees, if applicable,
  5. Click on Search,
  6. Choose the premium for these employees in boxes 1, 2, 3, and/or 4, including the bonuses that are already on file for these employees.
    The employee's position will have exactly the premiums selected AND will be activated if it was inactive.
  7. Uncheck Replace Payroll exportation codes by the default codes found in your structure, if applicable,
  8. Check the affected employees. Use  to Select All,
  9. Enter the premium for the position in the Premium column ($/h), if you wish to include a premium for the position at the same time,
  10. Click Save.
WARNING:
If you have existing premiums on the employee's file, be sure to include them in the premium selection.
If the position is inactive in the employee's file, it will be reactivated with the selected premiums. You must put the extension inactive if it is an error. Click here to find out more.
All other hourly premiums in the employee's file will be replaced by those that will be selected.

To check if the premium is in the employee's file

  1. Access the employee's file,
  2. In the Position(s) line, all the premiums on file are those in brackets.


Add hourly premium in batch and modify shift

As the hourly premium is specific to a position, the batch modification of the position results in: 
  1. The change in hourly premiums associated with the position
  2. The change of premium by position
  3. Changing the export codes of positions
  4. Reactivate inactive position
All additions and deletions of information with the tool will overwrite the current information unless you uncheck the appropriate boxes:
  1. Include employees whose position is inactive
  2. Replace the payroll export codes by the default ones of the structure

  1. Click on the Employee menu,
  2. Choose Add positions to Employees,
  3. Select the employees: 
    1. By enterprise, 
    2. Service, Department then the position,
  4. Uncheck Include Hidden Employees, if applicable,
  5. Click on Search,
  6. Choose the hourly premium for these employees in boxes 1, 2, 3, and/or 4, including the premiums that are already on file for these employees.
    The employee's position will have exactly the premiums selected AND will be activated if it was inactive.

  8. Check the affected employees. Use  to Select All,
  9. Enter the premium for the position in the Premium column ($/h),
  10. Click Save.
